On November 19, Clarivate released its 2024 global list of "highly cited scientists", featuring 6,636 scholars from 59 countries and regions. The number of selected scholars from Chinese mainland continued to increase, reaching 1,405 this year. Nine scholars from Zhengzhou university, including Shan Chongxin, Zang Shuangquan Yang Tianruo, Liang Jing, Zhou Zhen, Fan Bingbing, Shi Zhifeng, and Liu Xianhu , were recognized for their contributions in chemistry, chemical engineering and technology, material science and engineering, physics, electrical engineering, computer science and technology on the list. This marks an increase of four scholars compared with the previous year, placing Zhengzhou University 34th among Chinese universities.
