Recently, Dr. Zhang Zhaonan from the School of Life Sciencesof ZZU,published aonline review essaytitled "The Influence of Sex on Social Preferences" in the "eLetters"section of the renowned international academic journal "Science" (JAN. 14, 2025). Drawing on recent advancements in the fields of bee neuroethology and dance behavior, the article reviews the research work presented in the Science paper "Sexually Dimorphic Dopaminergic Circuits Determine Sex Preference" by Prof.Wang Changhe's teamfromXi'an Jiaotong University. Additionally, it provides insights into the gender-based social preferences of social insects like bees.
