Zhengzhou University held a mini marathon on April 28 at the main campus to promote a health-conscious lifestyle among students. The event drew the participation of more than 2,000 students.

After warming up under the guidance of coaches, participants set off from the university's Benyuan Stadium, running a scenic 5-kilometer route around campus. The course was designed to showcase the university's natural beauty, allowing runners to experience both the joy of sports and the charm of campus life.

At the finish line, the top 10 male and female runners received honorary certificates and commemorative gifts. Zhao Xingge, who has now won the mini-marathon four years in a row, said, "With more people joining each year, the race is becoming more challenging. But beyond the competition, I hope everyone enjoys sports and makes fitness a part of their everyday lives."

Meticulous planning ensured the event's smooth execution, with careful attention to course layout, supplies, volunteer coordination, and safety measures.

In 2025, the university is continuing its tradition of organizing signature sporting events like the mini-marathon and night runs, while also launching innovative activities such as guided workout videos to encourage regular exercise among students.
