The Zhengzhou University Library, a consolidation of the libraries from the original Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou University of Technology, and Henan Medical University, stands as a beacon of academic excellence. The library houses a vast collection of 7.31 million printed books, 3.38 million digital books, 2.72 million digital journals, 13.79 million academic theses, and 113,377 hours of audiovisual materials. Additionally, it provides access to 169 Chinese and foreign language databases, catering to diverse research needs.
Equipped with over 30 book stacks and reading rooms, offering more than 7,000 seats, the library operates 105 hours per week, providing round-the-clock access to network resources for the entire university community.
The library offers a plenty of modern services including book borrowing, catalog searches, multimedia viewing, electronic resource retrieval, reference consultations, interlibrary loans, and information literacy education. It also collaborates with the School of Information Management to train library science master's students and offers various courses on information retrieval.
