The 3rd C9 Consortium Meeting on Graduate Education was held at Zhengzhou University (ZZU) from July 12 to 13, bringing together nearly 300 leaders and educators from the Education Department of Henan Province, C9 League graduate schools, and ZZU. They focused on AI technological empowerment, the cultivation of talents for national strategic needs, and the deepening of cooperation in collaborative innovation, collectively devising strategies for the development of top innovative talent and drawing a new blueprint for graduate education.
Bie Ronghai, director of the Education Department of Henan Province, Li Peng, president of ZZU and Zhou Zhihua, vice-president of Nanjing University attended the conference and delivered speeches.
Li expressed gratitude towards the Education Department of Henan Province and the C9 League, while welcoming the leaders and experts to ZZU. She noted that ZZU enjoys a deep friendship and close cooperation with the C9 universities. She hoped the meeting would deepen cooperation, strengthening ZZU's development trajectory and promoting the high-quality development of graduate education.
The meeting aimed to foster innovative talent development and advance graduate education in alignment with modernization goals. Discussions covered topics such as political education for graduate students, interdisciplinary talent cultivation, industry-academia collaboration, and mentorship development.
The meeting concluded with a consensus on the significance of AI in shaping the future of graduate education and the need for continued collaboration to enhance the quality and excellence of graduate programs. It laid a solid foundation for the development of a new era of graduate education, marked by innovation and collaboration among C9 universities.
