ZZU and UOW forge a path to deeper cooperation

Zhengzhou University (ZZU) was invited to attend the 50th anniversary celebration of the University of Wollongong (UOW) in Australia from Sept 12 to 13. The delegation was led by Yang Tianruo, vice-president for academic affairs, who engaged in productive discussions aimed at deepening cooperation between the two universities.

During the visit, Yang held a meeting with Paul Wellings, vice-chancellor of UOW. The talks reflected on the achievements of over 20 years of collaboration in areas such as joint education programs, scientific research, and faculty and student exchanges. Both parties explored strategies to further expand and deepen their cooperation in the new era and reached a broad consensus.

Additionally, Yang met with Willy Susilo, dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences. They discussed collaborative initiatives in information engineering and big data, focusing on joint faculty training and exchange programs. The discussions also covered topics like co-developing courses, sharing academic resources, establishing joint research platforms, and creating a regular exchange mechanism.

The visit not only strengthened the longstanding friendship between ZZU and the UOW but also marked significant progress in collaborative education and academic cooperation. The strategic partnership between the two universities is now entering a new phase of deep and comprehensive collaboration.
