A delegation of five, including Hazel Ramos, vice principal of the University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNMC), Joseph Janssen, its dean of the College of Science and Engineering and Zhiyuan Chen, its dean of the School of Computer Science, on Sept 19 visited Zhengzhou University (ZZU) – located in Zhengzhou, capital of Central China's Henan province.
Representatives of the two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation.
The signing aimed to deepen ties and their strategic partnership in disciplines such as engineering and energy, with a focus on leveraging strengths in computer science and artificial intelligence.
Yang Tianruo, academic vice-president of ZZU noted that the university has a profound history and brilliant culture, and has formed a distinct schooling-running characteristics and advantages.
UMNC's Ramos expressed gratitude for the reception extended by ZZU, emphasizing the cooperation between two universities and the expectations of more exchange projects.
Located in Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia, the University of Nottingham Malaysia is one of the overseas campuses directly under the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom.
