Zhengzhou University (ZZU) hosted the 7th International Conference on Literature, Art, and Human Development (ICLAHD 2025) on Oct 25. The event attracted numerous scholars from renowned institutions in China, Russia, South Korea, Italy, and the United Kingdom. Over 80 faculty representatives from more than 10 universities in Henan province also participated.

In his opening remarks, Wang Liguo, deputy secretary of the Party committee of ZZU, emphasized the significance of literature and art as vital components of human civilization and the core of societal progress. He highlighted ZZU's commitment to the humanities and social sciences and said that this conference aims to foster international academic collaboration and promote interdisciplinary integration in the humanities.
During the opening ceremony, Huang Xinyuan was appointed as a distinguished lecture professor at ZZU, with Wang presenting the appointment certificate.
Scholars discussed topics such as the internationalization of art education, cross-cultural art dissemination, the dynamic preservation of cultural heritage, and innovative design arts. They explored new challenges and opportunities for humanities and arts in a globalized context, offering insights with both theoretical and practical significance.

Concurrently, a parallel forum was held, showcasing innovative research by young academics and graduate students in design education reform and innovation.
ICLAHD, now in its seventh year, continues to serve as a significant academic exchange platform, promoting innovation in humanities and arts and facilitating cultural exchange and mutual learning. Hosted by ZZU, the conference aims to further the global reach and influence of Chinese culture and civilization.
