The BYD China Youth Run and Zhengzhou University's (ZZU) autumn campus marathon took place on Nov 1.
The opening ceremony set a formal tone for the day, with Wang Liguo, deputy secretary of the Party committee of ZZU, emphasizing the marathon as a key initiative to promote sports and holistic education at the university. He encouraged participants to enjoy the run, improve their physical health, and use their competitive spirit to help build a world-class university.

The event attracted 5,500 participants, including students, faculty, and alumni, who embarked on a scenic route through the campus, witnessing the vibrant autumn landscape. All participants received commemorative medals, e-certificates, and refreshments upon completion.
ZZU aims to use this event as a catalyst for further integrating sports into its educational framework, promoting more well-rounded development among its community. This initiative aligns with the university's goal of becoming a world-class institution and advancing national sports and education objectives.

The BYD China Youth Run, a national campus marathon series launched by BYD, made its central region debut at ZZU.
