The 2025 IEEE Cybermatics Congress was held in Zhengzhou from Oct 30 to Nov 2, co-hosted by Zhengzhou University's (ZZU) School of Computer and Artificial Intelligence, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the IEEE Computer Society, and the IEEE Technical Committee on Scalable Computing.

The conference was chaired by Yang Tianruo, vice-president for academic affairs at ZZU. It gathered over 300 experts, scholars, and students from more than 70 universities, research institutions, and renowned companies from around the world, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, and McMaster University in Canada.

In his opening address, Yang highlighted the transformative impact of advanced technologies like artificial intelligence and cyber-physical systems on global science and engineering. He noted that the congress brought together a wealth of high-quality research, fostering in-depth discussions on AI applications in science and technology, and providing an international platform for scholars to collaboratively envision the future of intelligent technologies.

The conference featured keynote speeches from a number of distinguished scholars, including Professor Mohamed Jamal Deen from McMaster University, Professor Tao Daocheng from Nanyang Technological University, and Professor Meng Qinghu from Southern University of Science and Technology.

The congress served as a rich academic gathering, offering attendees the opportunity to engage in deep exchanges and intellectual collaboration. This not only advanced research in cyber-physical intelligence but also provided an important platform for the development of ZZU's AI discipline.
