Zhengzhou University (ZZU) recently hosted the 2025 annual academic conference of the evaluation committee of the Association of Chinese Graduate Education. The two-day event brought together over 900 representatives from universities, education authorities, and research institutions nationwide to discuss reform and innovation in graduate education and assessment.

Held under the theme of high-quality development in graduate education, the conference featured expert presentations on key trends, including the integration of interdisciplinary studies, the application of AI in evaluation systems, and reforms aimed at aligning education with national strategic needs.
Prominent speakers, including Yang Wei, chairman of the Association of Chinese Graduate Education, and Wang Lei, director of the evaluation committee, delivered insights into upgrading evaluation frameworks, fostering educational openness and excellence, and leveraging intelligent assessment tools.

Throughout the sessions, participants exchanged views and practical experiences on topics such as discipline profiling, industry-education integration, specialized talent training, and the evaluation of academic outputs. These discussions aimed to build consensus and explore pathways for future reforms in graduate education evaluation.
The gathering not only deepened understanding of assessment reforms but also highlighted practical cases and emerging models in the field. The event reinforced the role of evaluation as a driving force for improving the quality and relevance of graduate education in China.
