Zhengzhou University (ZZU) held its 9th International Forum for Young Scholars from Dec 22 to 24, attracting significant global interest with over 145,000 online views. The main forum on Dec 23 brought together 1,292 young scholars from 33 countries and regions, including prestigious institutions such as Harvard, Cambridge, and Oxford, with 222 attending on campus.
Li Chengwei, secretary of the ZZU Party committee, expressed ZZU's strong commitment to creating a healthy environment for talent development and invited scholars to join the university's journey toward world-class excellence.
President Li Peng highlighted ZZU's growth, disciplinary strengths, high-level research platforms, and comprehensive support system designed to help young scholars thrive both professionally and personally.

Zang Shuangquan, vice-president of ZZU, outlined ZZU's competitive talent policy framework, emphasizing support throughout recruitment, development, and career advancement. The university aims to provide an enabling ecosystem where young talent can focus on research and innovation.
Since its launch in 2017, the International Forum for Young Scholars has become a key channel for ZZU to recruit global talent. In 2025 alone, ZZU welcomed 10 national-level leading experts and 20 outstanding young researchers, further strengthening its academic community.
Moving forward, the university will continue to expand its international recruitment network and enhance support for young scholars, contributing to its vision of becoming a world-class university.
