The WLF MAX, a premier professional combat sports event in China, took place at Zhengzhou University (ZZU) on the evening of Feb 7. Organized primarily by the ZZU School of Sports and Physical Education, the event brought top fighters from China and abroad to the campus for a night of high-level matches.
The fight card featured several championship bouts. In the WLF MAX 63 kg world title fight, George Marania defended his belt with a third-round TKO victory over Chinese contender Zhu Shuai. Chinese fighter Er Kang won the 67 kg world title by defeating his compatriot Yi Yuxuan. Another Chinese athlete, Xu Yuanqing, claimed victory in the 77 kg final. In a notable matchup, Ouyang Feng secured a win over Ireland's Erin Andre under catchweight conditions.
