Chen Xi, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC ZZU Committee, welcomed the attendees and highlighted the university's recent progress in discipline development, talent cultivation, scientific innovation, and healthcare services. She noted that 2026 marks the university's year of openness and integration, and called on alumni to join hands in creating a new chapter for ZZU development.
During the alumni sharing session, a number of moving stories were shared. International alumna Rasika Prabhakar Pavaskar shared her fond memories of studying at ZZU, expressing her continued commitment to supporting the university. Wang Wang, a 2013 graduate, shared his experiences studying at ZZU, and with the help of a robot named "Lingxi", surprised everyone with a live marriage proposal.

The event also featured dance and musical performances. After the ceremony, the couples strolled along Meihu Lake, visited key campus landmarks, and took commemorative photos.
The event bears witness to the enduring bond between alumni and their alma mater — from those who first met as classmates decades ago to young couples who began their journeys here. More than a celebration of love, the gathering showcased the shared commitment of ZZU alumni to the university's continued growth.
