Zhengzhou University (ZZU) held its 2026 graduation ceremony and degree conferral at the main campus gymnasium on the morning of June 23. The event was attended by university leaders, academicians, and over 3,800 graduates, faculty, and parents, with 1.12 million viewers following the live broadcast online.
The ceremony began with the national anthem. University leaders presented awards to outstanding graduates and conferred degrees on representatives of the doctoral, master's, and bachelor's graduating classes. Student representatives and faculty members shared their reflections and best wishes during the ceremony.

In her address, Li Peng, president of ZZU, encouraged graduates to embrace lifelong learning as a continuous process of self-renewal. She highlighted the importance of staying true to one's goals, solving real-world problems, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and making good use of AI and technology. She reminded graduates to carry forward the university's motto of "seeking truth and taking responsibility" and contribute to society wherever they go.

The ceremony concluded with a collective oath by the Class of 2026 and the singing of the university anthem. This year marks the 98th anniversary of ZZU's founding and the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30). As the graduates embark on their new journeys, they are encouraged to uphold the spirit of their alma mater and strive to make meaningful contributions to the nation's development.
