A delegation from the Interdisciplinary Transformation University Austria (IT:U), led by Vice-Rector Gerd Krizek, visited Zhengzhou University (ZZU) on July 2.
Sun Xuelian, deputy director of ZZU's Office of International Affairs, welcomed the visitors and introduced the university's academic strengths. She highlighted the potential for collaboration in interdisciplinary talent development and digital transformation, areas where IT:U has established strengths.
Krizek expressed appreciation for the hospitality and emphasized his university's commitment to international academic networks and project-based learning.
During the meeting, both sides reached a preliminary agreement to explore joint research, student exchanges, and faculty collaboration.
IT:U, founded in 2022, is Austria's newest public university. It is one of Europe's first higher education institutions dedicated to digital transformation research and education, with a focus on interdisciplinary, project-based learning.
The visit lays a foundation for future cooperation between the two universities in areas of mutual interest.
