ZZU establishes Southeast Asia Institute and Singapore Alumni Association

Zhengzhou University (ZZU) established its Southeast Asia Institute and Singapore Alumni Association at a ceremony recently held in Singapore. The event, which also featured the China-Singapore Chemistry and Medicine Forum, was attended by over 80 experts, scholars, and alumni from leading institutions such as the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University.

Zang Shuangquan, vice-president of ZZU, delivered a keynote address at the ceremony. He highlighted the strong foundation of collaboration between ZZU and Singaporean institutions, citing established partnerships in talent development, academic exchanges, and joint research with the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, and Singapore Institute of Technology.

The concurrent China-Singapore Chemistry and Medicine Forum featured expert presentations on electrocatalysis, nanomaterials, atomic catalysis, and energy conversion, with participation from 20 ZZU students currently on mid- to long-term exchange programs in Singapore.

The establishment of the research institute and alumni association marks a significant step in ZZU's international strategy. The university aims to leverage Singapore's position as a global hub for innovation and talent to deepen collaboration in youth exchange, interdisciplinary research, and technology transfer, advancing Sino-Singaporean higher education partnerships.
