Driven by a commitment to fostering global perspectives, Zhengzhou University (ZZU) continues to advance its international talent cultivation. Students Liu Ziju and Tang Xibo recently traveled to Geneva to participate in the 31st AFS Youth Assembly. The event brought together nearly 800 youth representatives from over 80 countries to address critical global challenges.

Liu Ziju, a translation student from the School of International Studies, contributed to a session on overcoming polarization in modern public communication. He stressed the importance of objective fact-checking over rushed public judgment. Furthermore, he offered valuable insights into the educational barriers caused by geography and climate change in the Asia-Pacific region. His proposals were successfully integrated into the Asia-Pacific Youth Declaration and read aloud during the closing ceremony.

Meanwhile, Tang Xibo, an international law student, joined panels discussing global environmental governance and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He engaged with international experts on complex topics ranging from digital economy regulations to climate justice, demonstrating a deep understanding of legal frameworks and transnational negotiation.
Their achievements reflect the effectiveness of ZZU's specialized training programs, including its "foreign languages + international organizations" initiative. By bridging classroom knowledge with real-world diplomacy, ZZU continues to empower young talent to confidently contribute to global governance.
