Zhengzhou University (ZZU) hosted the 2nd International Forum on Frontier Progress in Biomedicine and the International Symposium for Pharmacy Postdocs and PhD Students in Zhengzhou on Oct 17.
The forum focused on biomanufacturing, new drug development, synthetic biology, and interdisciplinary innovation. More than 300 experts, scholars, and young researchers from China, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Canada, and other countries attended.
Prominent participants included Professor Dong Zigang from ZZU's Henan Medical College, Academician Stefan Paul Schwarz from the Free University of Berlin, Professor Yong Yeon Cho from the Catholic University of Korea, and Professor Jun Han from the University of Victoria.
A parallel symposium for postdoctoral and doctoral students featured presentations by 14 young researchers from ZZZU, who received detailed feedback and professional guidance from international experts. Several high-level international journals also provided academic support.
The forum served as a platform for academic exchange and helped promote the transformation of research into clinical and industrial applications. It also supported the high-quality development of ZZU's pharmaceutical discipline and international cooperation in biomedical research.
