A delegation from Adelaide University, led by Vice-Chancellor Andrew Zannettino, visited Zhengzhou University (ZZU) on Oct 19.

Dong Zigang, a professor from ZZU's Henan Medical College, noted that ZZU places high importance on its partnership with Adelaide University. He expressed hope that the visit would build on existing cooperation to strengthen talent cultivation, faculty and student exchanges, and joint research, while exploring broader multidisciplinary collaboration.

Zannettino thanked ZZU for its hospitality and introduced the strengths of Adelaide University's College of Health in frontier medical research, clinical translation, health sciences, and international talent development. He said he looked forward to establishing regular communication and advancing cooperation in talent development, academic exchange, and joint research.

During the visit, the delegation toured ZZU's Wellington College, the State Key Laboratory of Metabolic Dysregulation & Prevention and Treatment of Esophageal Cancer, and the First Affiliated Hospital.

Adelaide University, founded in 1874, is a member of Australia's Group of Eight and ranked 82nd in the QS World University Rankings 2026. It has produced five Nobel laureates and is particularly strong in medicine, public health, and mining engineering.
