Recently, Dr. Shi Zhifeng, a young teacher from Key Laboratory for Material Physics under Ministry of Education, School of Physical Engineering of Zhengzhou University, working jointly with Jilin University, has made new progress in new-type Perovskite-based LED, publishing the relevant result on internally renowned journal of Nano Letters.

Dr.Shi creatively uses CsPbBr3 quantum dots of all-inorganic Perovskite as the luminescent layer to improve the luminescence property of devices. This new type of quantum dots uses simple solvent compounds to regulate sedimentation as a synthesis method, realizing a fluorescence quantum efficiency of more than 80%, higher in optical purity compared with traditional cadmium quantum dots. What is more, with inorganic oxide semiconductor used as charge injection layer, all-inorganic heterostructure based on CsPbBr3 quantum dots has been synthesized for the first time, exceeding the other reported Perovskite-based LED.
