Zhengzhou University Attended the 9th China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week and Signed a Friendship and Cooperation Agreement with the National University of Laos

Themed “Education first,Make Dream Come True Together”, the 9th China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week was held in Guiyang in July. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Lao Prime Minister, president of ASEANˊs rotating presidency, sent congratulatory letters and Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong attended the opening ceremony and delievered a speech. This exchange week was co-sponsored by Chinaˊs Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China’s Ministry of Education and Guizhou provincial government. More than 3000 people, including political leaders, ambassadors to China, officials of the Ministry of Education, some university principals, experts and scholars, overseas student representatives, officials of the Ministry of Education from specially invited partner countries including South Korea, Switzerland and Russia, university principals and some heads of international organizations, some domestic colleges and universities took part. Vice President Han Guohe of Zhengzhou University headed a delegation to attend this event.

During the exchange week, Vice President Han Guohe and Vice Chancellor of National University of Laos Oudom Phonekhampheng cosigned two friendship and cooperation agreements on student exchange, student training, communication and lecturing, cooperative research and postgraduate students training between the two universities at the forum of “100 China-ASEAN Presidents Cooperating for the Future Series”.
