On September 29, the unveiling ceremony of the ” Eco-Environmental Technology Research Institute” jointly established by Zhengzhou University and the Eco-Environment Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was held on the main campus. Researcher Ouyang Zhiyun, Director and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Researcher Zhuang Xuliang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, Liu Jiongtian, Vice Chairman of the Henan Provincial Political Consultative Conference and the President of Zhengzhou University, and Guan Shaokang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of the university, attended the event. Responsible staff members and faculty representatives from both parties also attended the ceremony. The event was presided over by Guan Shaokang.

Liu Jiongtian said that the Eco-Environmental Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is the first comprehensive research institution of ecological environment science in China, it is also a base for basic research and technological innovation, as well as a training base for high-level specialized talents. It has made important contributions to the protection and realization of the harmonious development of man and nature.

Ouyang Zhiyun introduced the current situation of the Ecological Environment Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He hopes to take advantage of the resources of both parties to strengthen cooperation in laboratory platform construction, postgraduate training and talent exchanges, so as to contribute to the provincial and the national ecological environment.

After the unveiling ceremony, the two parties held a discussion on the ways of cooperation based on the national strategy and the development needs of Henan Province.
