Zhengzhou University holds 2020CCF National High Performance Computing Academic Annual Conference

From September 28th to 30th, the 2020 CCF National High Performance Computing Conference (CCF HPC CHINA 2020) was held in Zhengzhou.

The conference was sponsored by the Chinese Computer Society and co-organized by the High Performance Computing Professional Committee of the Chinese Computer Society, Zhengzhou University, and Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone. The theme of this conference was ”New Supercomputing, New Infrastructure, and New Economy”. It comprehensively reviewed the innovation and practice in Chinaˊs high-performance computing field in 2020, released many cutting-edge scientific research results, discussed the hotspots and difficulties in the applications of high-performance computing technology, and forecasted the trend and direction of future development. It provided opportunities for exchanges and cooperation among scholars and enterprises in related fields, thereby effectively promoting the development of Chinaˊs high performance computing industry.

Wang Yimin, Deputy Secretary-General of Zhengzhou Municipal Government, Liu Jiongtian, Vice-Chairman of the Henan Provincial Committee of the Chinese Peopleˊs Political Consultative Conference and President of Zhengzhou University, Chen Guoliang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Qi Fengbin, Director of the High Performance Computing Professional Committee of the Chinese Computer Society, delivered speeches respectively.

Zeng Qingcun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Institute of Atmospheric Physics as well as the 2019 recipient of the National Supreme Science and Technology Award, Chen Zuoning, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, vice chairman of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Wu Jiangxing, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, expert in communication and information systems, computer and network technology, and cyberspace security technology, and Sun Ninghui, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered reports respectively.
