The opening ceremony of special collection exhibition of Yellow River conservancy literature, host by Zhengzhou University Library, was held on the second floor of the library on main campus on the morning of November 24^th.Song Zhenghui, Secretary of the University Party committee, Han Guohe, vice president of the university, attended the ceremony. Dozens of scholars and experts from Henan Academy of Social Sciences, Provincial library and Museum, Provincial Institute of Ancient Architecture Protection, Provincial Museum of Culture and History of CPPCC, Peking University, and other institutes attended the exhibition.

This exhibits, which are mainly provided by Zhengzhou University Library and the “ Henan Literature Special Collection Room” founded by Zhao Changhai, the researcher librarian, are divided into nine categories, with more than 1500 pieces in total, including hand painted waterway maps of the Yellow River Basin, files of the Yellow River Committee in the period of Republic of China, the original flim of blocking the mouth of the Yellow River in 1947, rubbings and manuscripts of the Yellow River inscriptions, newly revised records of the Yellow River and historical records of water conservancy.

After the opening ceremony, a seminar on the collection and research of Yellow River conservancy was held. Geng Xiangxin, chief editor of ZhongYuan publishing media group, Zhang Xinbin, director of Institute of history and archaeology, Academy of Social Science, and Professor Song Yuqin from Peking University gave speech in turn and highly praised the exhibition.
