Recently, Yan Leilei and Su Shilei, young faculty members of the School of Physics at Zhengzhou University, in collaboration with Feng Mang's research team at the Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology, CAS, designed and completed a non-cyclic non-adiabatic geometric quantum logic gate based experiment using an ultracold ion experimental platform, demonstrating for the first time at the level of a single 40Ca+ ion with high precision the excellent properties of both fault tolerance and speed of this pervasive quantum logic gate, and the research results were published in Physical Review Letters. Zhang Jiawei, PhD candidate of the Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology, Mr. Yan Leilei of Zhengzhou University, and Li Jiachong, PhD candidate of the Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology, were co-authors of the article. Su Shilei of Zhengzhou University, Zhou Fei and Feng Mang of the Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology, were the corresponding authors.
