The Publicity Department of the CPC recently announced the list of “the high-quality publication category of the project of inheritance and publication of Chinese folk music”. The list covered 60 items.The Series of Chinese Music ArchaeologybyProf. Wang Zichu, the dean of the School of Conservatory of Music and the dean of the Music Archaeology Institute, was selected into the category. The work was published by People's Music Publishing House in 2019 and Prof. Wang Zichu was its editor. The series includes 6 monographs on music archaeology, with a total of 2 million words and more than 850 pictures.
