The First National Plasma Science and Technology Innovation Competition of College Students sponsored by China Electrotechnical Society and co-organized by Chinese Physical Society and Chinese Society of Astronautics was held in Changzhou city, Jiangsu province. The ZZU team had won 1 first prize and 4 second prizes. The total number of prizes ranked the fifth together with Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University and Chongqing University. ZZU was also awarded “the Excellent Organizer”. Prof. Cheng Xian and his team had gone through the whole process of the competition as organizers and conveners of the organizing committee of colleges in Henan Province and of the ZZU organizing committee.
