Recently, the College of Physics of Zhengzhou University has made positive progress in the research of Pt-based nano-catalytic materials. The relevant results were published in the international authoritative journal Advanced Materials with the title of “Mixed-dimensional Pt-Ni alloy polyhedral nanochains as bifunctional electrocatalysts for direct metal fuel cell”. Zhengzhou University is the first author unit, Xia Tianyu, a young teacher of the College, and Zhao Kai, a graduate student of 2019, are the co-first authors. Guo Haizhong, a distinguished visiting professor of Henan Province, and Wang Ziyu, a professor of Wuhan University, are the co-corresponding authors.

The work was supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Department of Science and Technology of Henan Province.
