President Li Peng elected as the representative of the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC)；other 2 scholars elected as members of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

On January 17, 2023, the first meeting of the 14th Henan Provincial People's Congress was held in the Provincial People’s Hall. The meeting elected 174 representatives of Henan Province to attend the 14th NPC, and academician Li Peng, president of Zhengzhou University, was elected.

On the same day, the 25th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th CPPCC approved the list of members of the 14th CPPCC. Academician Wang Fuming and Professor Shan Chongxin, Vice President of Zhengzhou University, are among them.
