1. Introduction

Zhengzhou University (ZZU in short) was established on July 10, 2000 on the basis of the amalgamation of the three former individual universities, namely the former Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou University of Technology and Henan Medical University. ZZU covers 12 fields of study, including science, engineering, medicine, literature, history, philosophy, law, economics, management science, pedagogy, agriculture and arts. It is among the group admitted into Project 211, the sole university in Henan supported by the Midwest Universities Comprehensive Strength Promotion Project and co-sponsored by Henan Provincial Government and the Ministry of Education.

ZZU has built the sound talent nurturing system and the science and research foundation. ZZU has 46 faculties and 9 affiliated hospitals, offering 107 undergraduate programs, 55 master’s degree programs of the first-level discipline, 237 master’s degree programs of the second-level discipline, 21 doctorate programs of the first-level discipline, 124 doctorate programs of the second-level discipline, 23 post-doctoral programs, 1 professional doctorate, as well as 19 professional master’s degrees. There are over 6,000 full-time staff members, among whom 24 are members of CAS or CAE, with 6 being full-time and 18 part-time. Besides, the university has over 721 professors, over 1600 assistant professors and more than 1,700 teachers with the doctorate degree.

ZZU has paid more attention to the teaching construction. Recently, ZZU has issued the file of Zhengzhou University Arrangement and Implementation for Discipline Distinguished Professor Post. ZZU has arranged three special posts: discipline top professor, the leading personnel of the discipline and the talents of the discipline. The professors approved to take the post will be supported in payment, accommodation, housing fee, discipline platform construction fee, and trigging fee for scientific research, and other aspects. Welcome the talents to ZZU.

2. Enrollment

(1) Members of the Chinese Academy of Science, Members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Distinguished Experts in National Thousand Talent Plan, Distinguished Experts in Yangtze River Scholars Reward Plan by Ministry of Education, Candidates of National High-level Talent Special Support Plan, Gainer supported by National Distinguished Young Science Foundation, senior professors in human and society science, and top professors in the related discipline with the above level

(2) Winners supported by National Thousand Young Talent Plan, funded by National Excellent Young Science Foundation, and young scholar project of Yangtze River Reward Plan, and the leading talents of the related discipline with the above level

(3) Guest professors supported by Yangtze River Scholar Reward Plan funded by Ministry of Education, Henan Guest Professors, and ZZU guest professors who work in ZZU in short term

3. Priority policy

(1) The Members of the Chinese Academy of Science, the Members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Distinguished Experts in National Thousand Talent Plan, the Distinguished Experts in Yangtze River Scholars Reward Plan by Ministry of Education, the candidates of National High-level Talent Special Support Plan, gainer supported by National Distinguished Young Science Foundation, the senior professor in human and society science, or the top professor in the related discipline with the above level will enjoy the priority treatment such as the scientific research starting fee, housing fee, consultative payments besides the insurance, welfare according to the nation and Henan province policy if they are recruited to the related post as full-time staff of ZZU.

(2)The gainers who are supported by in National Thousand Young Talent Plan, funded by the National Excellent Young Science Foundation, and young scholar project of Yangtze River Reward Plan, and the leading talents of the related discipline with the above level will enjoy post payments in their recruitment term, as well as the priority treatment such as the scientific research starting fee, housing fee, consultative payments besides the insurance, welfare according to the nation policy.

(3)The guest professors working in short term in ZZU will be provided the consultative salary and post payments.

The applicant who is supported by Henan Province Overseas High Level Hundreds Talents Plan is expected to visithttp://www.haedu.gov.cnas well as download the relevant materials and fulfills the tables.

The applicant who is the candidate of ZZU distinguished professor is expected to visit visits ZZU high level talent office web (http://www5.zzu.edu.cn/rcb/xzzx/) as well as download downloads the relevant materials and fulfills the tables.
